The Giving Challenge is an exciting 24-hour online giving event that connects 700+ nonprofit organizations with passionate donors & community members to support diverse causes & create enduring impact in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, & DeSoto counties.
To strengthen giving during the 2024 Giving Challenge (April 9-10), The Patterson Foundation (TPF) will provide a 1:1 match for all unique donations from $25 up to $100 per donor, per organization made online with a credit or debit card. Each individual may donate once to a specific organization and it will be matched.

All donations from this year’s Giving Challenge will help us purchase a new van.
EARS’ current van is a 2007 with over 110,000 miles. In the last year it has become very unreliable. Currently the van is having steering and suspension issues. Our shelter director Todd and his assistant Bob use this van to transport the animals in our care. Spay and neuters for our pets are done at the Humane Society of Sarasota County, which can be over an hour drive each way. We also take our pets to Laurel Road Veterinary Clinic in Nokomis. For everyone’s safety we need a newer van that is reliable.
